PHOTOGRAPHY: me! (
During my most recent trip to Asheville, NC, I discovered that my favorite vintage shop in town,
, had a new, bigger location; Needless to say, I was elated at the discovery! After drooling at the endless supply of owner Gigi Rene's phenomenal handpicked and reconstructed vintage and new handmade goodies, I tried on a couple lovely rompers- one being a recommendation by Bonnie, one of Vintage Moon's gals, and the other a Hawaiian-made bathing romper from the 50's/60's. I fell in love with both as soon as I saw them, but alas my goal was to leave with just one special piece for myself. The choice was easy: the chocolate lace romper from the 1960's fit me like a glove, and for a petite, curvy girl like myself, that's rare. So thank you Bonnie! It's now the most prized item in my personal vintage collection! I later returned to photograph Vintage Moon for this feature and, through my lens, my appreciation for Gigi's keen eye for prints and high quality vintage and gypsy-inspired decorating skills grew tenfold. My version of heaven! After leaving, I promptly changed into my freshly-picked dark chocolate lace romper, and had my partner Gabe snap some photos (check out my next post for those photos).
